Father’s Day 
It was wonderful to experience the Father’s Day breakfast with so many families. The smiles on the children’s faces as they sat and ate breakfast with their fathers or families or friends was a delight to see. Children are so proud of their families even though they don’t always say that – so thank you for making their day by attending the morning and showing an interest in their school. 

A reminder to make your booking for the Term 3 Learning Conversations taking place in Week 9 from Tuesday 17 to Thursday 19 September, 2019.

When can your child start school?
Did you know that at All Saints we offer a mid-year Reception enrolment intake for children who turn five on or before October 31?

All Saints has 2 intakes per year for children starting Reception.

Term 1 Enrolment
children who turn five on or before April 30

Term 3 Enrolment (Mid-Year intake)
children who turn five on or before October 31

Children who turn five from November 1 onward, commence Reception at the beginning of the following year.

Did you know that dental care is FREE for all babies, all children not yet at school and most children and young people under 18 years at School Dental Service clinics.  For further information, please go to the SA Dental Health website or make an appointment.

5Bu have been exploring our solar system in science lessons this term. The children have used an online portal to locate videos, books and information about the subject and demonstrated their learning in a variety of ways.

Some groups presented their finding as posters while others created PowerPoint presentations or booklets. We also created art works of the solar system using oil pastel. 

Our final project for the unit will be to create a solar ovens using pizza boxes which we will (hopefully) use to melt marshmallows.

Yesterday we recognised R U OK? Day.

This is a day which encourages the community to build and maintain a support system which is fundamentally important in order to prevent suicide, improve the mental illness statistics and encourage people to be open and honest about their state of mind.

At All Saints we believe in recognising positive behaviour.  Regularly Ms Keogh invites learners who have continually gone over and above, to share a drink and a chat together.

After starting at All Saints in 2015, it had always been my hope that, we as a school, would be able to visit the nation’s capital and experience what it had to offer. Finally, last year the School Board and Ms Keogh gave the go ahead to plan our inaugural camp to Canberra.  

We are excited to announce that tickets are now available for the All Saints 25th Anniversary Dinner Dance.  Join us to celebrate at Jimmy Deane's Bistro, South Adelaide Football Club on Saturday, 16th November, 2019.  Tickets are $65pp which includes a 3 course meal and a band.

We look forward to celebrating with All Saints old scholars, past and present parents, grandparents, staff, families and friends within the community. Cardijn College recently announced that applications for the Year 7 2021 Joseph Cardijn Scholarship are now open.

This Academic Scholarship is awarded to Year 5 students who are enrolling for the Year 7 intake. This scholarship will cover the tuition fees for the student for three years, up to and including Year 9.
