All Saints eNewsletter Term 4, Week 6

Dear Parents, Carers and Friends of All Saints,

As we near the end of the school year, there is the usual movement of teachers across our Catholic schools as they seek new challenges to enhance their careers.

3M has been focusing on nature and how to play safely using natural surroundings. We have been on two excursions this term, where we have had the chance to be outside, interact with the environment and learning to collaborate and communicate effectively with our classmates.

As mentioned in the last Newsletter, I would like to continue to share some of the information we learnt from the engaging Parent Session by Bill Hansberry.

Bill spent some time discussing, Sibling Rivalry and the common question, Why do children get along well with friends but seem to lose their social skills at home? Bill went on to say that around 90% of squabbling amongst siblings is for the benefit of parents.

One of the challenges of my work is finding ways to engage our community with the Good News of Jesus Christ. People, including myself, feel uncomfortable talking about God and Church in our current times. It is not easy. If I am challenged by this, what does it mean for our children?  How do I connect them?

Join us at the All Saints annual End of Year Thanksgiving Liturgy and Christmas Concert !

A reminder that the final day of Term 4, Friday 13 December, 2019 will be a Pupil Free Day at All Saints!   

All Saints Catholic Primary School is collecting non-perishable Christmas/Festive food, along with new toys, gifts, etc., to help local families in need celebrate Christmas. 

If you can help, please leave your donations in the Front Office.

Primary School children are invited to come along and enjoy a day of Christmas make and take and other fun activities on Wednesday December 18th 10.00 am-2.00 pm. Registration forms are available from the SCC administration desk and the All Saints Catholic Primary School office. Please return completed forms to the SCC Office by Friday December 13th.
