From the Principal

Dear Parents, Carers and Friends of All Saints,

Each week we seem to be edging closer and closer to normality. We have been informed this week that many of the school activities which we had to curtail can now be reactivated, although sometimes in an altered way.

So as of the commencement of Term 3 – Welcome Back onto the school grounds!

From the Director of Wellbeing

This week SAPOL visited our school to deliver a presentation on Cyber-Safety to our students in Years 5 and 6. Whilst being incredibly informative and relevant, the presentation also contained very practical information. We are all keenly aware of the importance of safety online and this session was a solid reinforcement of the messages we consistently deliver to our students about being cyber-safe.

From the APRIM

After 5 weeks of absence it was lovely to be back at All Saints this week. I was welcomed back so warmly by staff and many of the children.

I have spent a lot of time lying on the couch or in bed wrapped in warm blankets and quilts. We avoid putting the heater on until 5pm to cut back on heating costs. We have a double brick house so it gets very cold in winter, but it keeps out the wind and rain and it holds in the heat when it is switched on.

Focus on Year 5 Burton

Year 5 Burton have been exploring our Solar System in Science this Term. As part of the unit we have researched the celestial objects which form part of our Solar System and produced posters of our findings. We have learned about the three rules for What Makes a Planet a Planet:

  1. It must orbit a star (our star is the sun)
  2. It must be rounded by its own gravity (sphere shaped)
  3. It must clear it's orbit.

To connect with our learning in other subject areas we produced artistic representations or our Solar System in Art and we are developing interactive Space Powerpoint Quizzes, with internal and external hyperlinks, to test and extend our classmates' knowledge and understanding.

Wear your PJ's to school day.png

Wear Your Pyjamas To School Day

On Friday, 26 June, we invite the children to WEAR YOUR PYJAMAS TO SCHOOL.

All Saints is getting behind the St Vinnies Winter Appeal by raising money and seeking donations for people in our community experiencing homelessness. Homelessness is an issue often overlooked and misunderstood in Australia.  Despite common belief, children and youth are some of the largest groups of Australians experiencing disadvantage.

Donations of money, warm clothing such as socks, scarves, pre-worn jackets, etc., along with non-perishable foods can be left with the Front Office or in you child's classroom.

We thank you for your support.
